How Does head mounted AR/VR equipment release heat

     Recently, a patent announcement showed that Apple's headset AR device will guide heat away from the wearer's head through the air deflector to realize the automatic heat dissipation of the headset ar device. This technology is expected to accelerate the popularization of the next generation of intelligent wearable devices.

     "Air deflector cooling system in head mounted equipment" is a newly disclosed Apple patent application, which focuses on that users can comfortably wear this equipment for a long time. Apple said in the patent that the headset device is an attractive technology that can provide an immersive user experience. Like other electronic devices, head mounted devices can adopt air circulation based cooling system to keep electronic components at ideal operating temperature.    

   Apple said that the cooling system can also be used to cool the user's face to avoid heat accumulation inside the headset.

    Apple's proposal is to learn from the thermal cooling method used in computers and add the air deflector commonly found in air conditioning systems. This can be designed between the surface of the internal component and the incoming air flow, and the angle is reduced relative to the surface of the internal component, so as to create smooth or more laminar flow on the component. Besides, a integrated radiator  or thermal conductive material will also be helpful, but need to be careful the heated air can not flow to the users.
