How does LED display cooling down

        There are three basic ways of heat transfer: heat conduction, convection and radiation.

Heat conduction: transfer heat from higher temperature places to lower temperature places through contact mode.

Convection: It refers to the heat transfer process caused by the relative displacement between various parts of the fluid. Convection occurs only in the fluid and is inevitably accompanied by heat conduction. The heat exchange process that occurs when a fluid flows through the surface of an object is called convective heat transfer. The convection caused by the different density of the cold and hot parts of the fluid is called natural convection. If the movement of fluid is caused by external force (fan, etc.), it is called forced convection.

Radiation: transmit energy by electromagnetic waves from one to another is called thermal radiation,

Radiant energy transfers energy in vacuum and has energy form conversion, that is, heat energy is converted into radiant energy and radiant energy is converted into heat energy.

    Heat flux density, volume power density, total power consumption, surface area, volume and working environment conditions of LED display screen should be considered when chosing thermal conductive mode.

Some methods of improving heat dissipation of LED display screen

  1.  It is a common method to use a long-life and high-efficiency fan to strengthen heat dissipation inside the lamp shell. This method has lower cost and good performance.

  2.  Aluminum cooling fins heatsinks are the most common way of thermal solution Aluminum cooling fins are used as part of the shell to increase the heat dissipation area in limit space.

  3. Using thermally conductive phase change material ,it refers to a material that changes its shape with the change of temperature and can provide latent heat. The process of phase change materials from solid to liquid or from liquid to solid is called phase change process. At this time, phase change materials will absorb or release a large amount of latent heat.

  4. High performace heatpipe assembly modules application, The heat is transported from the LED display chip to the cooling heatsinks.

  5. Aerodynamics, Convective air is produced by using the shape of the lamp shell, which is a low-cost method to strengthen heat dissipation performance.

  6. Surface radiation treatment, the heat can be radiated away from the surface of the lamp shell by applying radiation heat dissipation coating ,such as Graphene coating.

  7. Add interface TIM materials will be great help for thermal conduct from the  heat source.
