Intel's Next Generation Data Center Immersion Liquid Cooling Solution
Intel has released a new generation of data center liquid cooling solution - G-Flow immersion liquid cooling, which not only reduces total cost of ownership (TCO) and power utilization efficiency (PUE), but also provides excellent heat dissipation, system stability, and ease of operation for intensive computing environments that pursue excellent cooling performance, and is more environmentally friendly. At present, the solution has passed confirmatory testing (POC) and achieved the expected results, which will accelerate the large-scale application of immersive liquid cooling solutions in data centers and lay a solid technical foundation for the green and efficient development of data centers.

Chen Baoli, Vice President and General Manager of Intel Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Group in China, said, "Accelerating energy conservation and emission reduction in the high energy carrying industry of data centers has become an urgent task in the current era of rapid advancement of AI and increasing demand for sustainable development. Based on profound insights into industry demand, Intel has launched a new G-Flow immersion liquid cooling solution for data centers. This groundbreaking technology breaks through traditional technological bottlenecks and opens up new paths for energy conservation and emission reduction in data centers. In the future, Intel will continue to promote technological innovation and work with ecological partners to promote application implementation, providing strong support for the efficient and sustainable development of data centers."

The G-Flow immersion liquid cooling solution released by Intel this time combines innovative design and high energy efficiency, covering innovative immersion liquid cooling cabinets and their supporting liquid cooling server cooling solutions. This scheme adopts a novel immersive system design, which can significantly increase the coolant flow through the CPU or GPU heat sink without requiring additional energy consumption. This optimized fluid management not only achieves efficient forced convection heat transfer mode, but also significantly improves the efficiency of cooling medium usage and system heat dissipation efficiency.

To join hands with the industrial chain to build a leading data center liquid cooling ecosystem and accelerate its path towards a sustainable, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly future, Intel China Data Center Liquid Cooling Innovation Acceleration Program has emerged. Among them, Intel collaborated with manufacturers of immersive liquid cooling solutions such as Green Cloud Image and Lixun Technology, server OEMs, ODMs, and synthetic oil coolant suppliers to develop prototypes based on G-Flow immersive liquid cooling solutions. After rigorous testing, they demonstrated the excellent heat dissipation performance required for high-performance processors.
