Intel Invests $700 Million in Developing Liquid Cooled Cooling Technology

As CPU performance and the number of cores become increasingly powerful, how to dissipate heat is also an important issue, especially for data center processors. The maximum power consumption of 50+cores is over 400W, and traditional air cooling methods are no longer sufficient. Therefore, Intel has announced an investment of $700 million to develop a new liquid cooling technology.
The liquid cooling solution mentioned by Intel is different from common water cooling. Immersion type means that the entire chip and circuit board must be placed in a cabinet filled with dedicated coolant. This material requires high requirements, has very high dielectric strength and excellent material compatibility, and also has the advantages of transparency, odorlessness, non flammability, non oil based, low toxicity, non corrosion, wide operating temperature range, high thermal and chemical stability, It requires much higher requirements than pure water.
