Difference between OLED and LCD screen

Oled displays are self-luminous, just like independent color bulbs. LCD displays light by backlight layer, and white light can show color through colored film.Oled screens are more flexible and can be curved, while LCDS don't allow much bending.The OLED screen is an organic light-emitting diode screen, and the LCD screen is a common LIQUID crystal screen.

Take xiaomi OLED TV and Xiaomi TV 4A for example. This answer applies to all LED and OLED screens.

1. In terms of power loss, OLED screens are lower than LCD screens because the pixels of OLED screens work independently, while LCD screens are fully backlit, so OLED screens are more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly than LCD screens.

2. In terms of screen thickness and bending degree, OLED screen is thinner and lighter than LCD screen due to the lack of backlight layer and liquid crystal layer, and it is easier to bend. Large curved screen is mostly OLED screen.

3. In terms of color, the LCD screen cannot display pure black because the backlight of the LCD screen cannot be completely turned off. However, each pixel of the OLED screen can be turned on and off separately, and the OLED screen can display a more pure black effect.
