Aluminium Skived Fins are made by using series of knives that literally shaves fins up from extruded aluminum base. The process of slicing and standing fins up at a time can create an extremely high fin-gap aspect ratio, then the top of fins will be cut to a uniform height.

Typically, skiving fin uses Al1060 which has the best thermal conductivity among most of aluminum alloy to get the better thermal performance. And it has very good reliability that is the same as extrusion heatsink
