Characteristics of thin loop heat pipe (LHP):

1. A new type of annular heat pipe with sub millimeter thickness made of two layers of copper plate;

2. Forming a groove structure on the thin copper plate to generate capillary force;

3. The non-woven fabric made of copper fiber is used as the liquid absorption core to maintain the liquid phase;

4. The thermal resistance of a thin loop heat pipe with a thickness of 0.4 mm is 0.21 K / W;

5. The thermal resistance of ultra-thin loop heat pipe with thickness of 0.4 mm is 0.21 K / W at 7.5 w thermal power.

Research and development background of loop heat pipe:

     Compared with 4G and other conventional communication standards, 5G mobile communication system supports broadband communication with high bandwidth and low delay. 5g can provide services in many areas, including transportation, health care, security, agriculture and social infrastructure. As many devices, including smart phones, tablet computers, household appliances, OA devices, automobiles and production equipment, are increasingly connected to the communication network, the amount of communication data processing is increasing.

     With the growth of data processing, the heat generated by electronic equipment increases. On the other hand, the demand for smaller and lighter electronic devices is also increasing. Because miniaturization reduces the area of circuit board, the heating density of electronic equipment and components increases. In order to cope with the increasing heat generated by electronic components and high heating density, advanced thermal management system is needed.

5G  transmission

    Loop heat pipe (LHP) is a two-phase flow heat transfer system, which can realize long-distance heat transfer without auxiliary power. LHP has been researched and developed for the application of high heating elements such as CPU, but it has not been widely used in consumer electronics. Therefore, the high heating problem of consumer electronics in 5g communication system can be solved with the help of loop heat pipe technology.
