Thermosyphon coolig solution for Data Center
Thermosyphon cooling technology is an innovative energy-saving method that can solve the growing heat load and resource consumption problems of modern data centers. Over the years, multiple institutions have actively explored and applied thermosyphon technology:
Munters' SyCool Split is a thermosyphon based dry cooling solution suitable for data centers, developed to minimize the environmental impact of data centers by providing natural cooling without water. SyCool Split is compatible with both air-cooled and liquid cooled designs, providing customers with flexible deployment options.

Based on thermosyphon technology. After the thermosiphon evaporator installed on the server chip absorbs heat, the liquid refrigerant inside evaporates, and then the vapor refrigerant passively flows to the condenser driven by pressure difference. It then condenses into liquid in the condenser and returns to the evaporator again, completing a closed-loop cooling cycle.

According to the requirement , the condenser can be combined with a fan array, a downflow indoor unit (CRAH), or a liquid cooled heat exchanger to provide flexible options for air and liquid cooling. The equivalent straight pipe length between the evaporator and condenser in the SyCool system can reach 500 feet, fully meeting the requirements of separated structure design and long-distance heat transfer.

Recently, Munters, a global supplier of climate control solutions for agriculture and industry, announced that its SyCool Split cooling system has received an order worth $137 million from a data center hosting operator in the United States and is expected to be delivered by 2025.
