In Response To Battery Short Circuit Thermal Runaway, Enoix Launches BrakeFlow Technology

    Recently, Enoix Corporation (Enoix), a new generation 3D silicon anode lithium-ion battery design manufacturer, announced its latest BrakeFlow ™ Technology, which is an internal battery thermal control system, can significantly improve the battery's resistance to internal short circuit thermal runaway without affecting high energy density.

     It is understood that Enoix's patented 3D cell structure vertically stacks high capacity silicon negative electrodes, anodes, and separators on an inherent planar structure. Unlike the horizontal winding structure of traditional lithium-ion batteries, in the 3D structure, stack pressure is applied by integrating stainless steel constraints to maintain connectivity between silicon particles, achieving uniform discharge, achieving high energy density, and significantly improving cycle life.
