Lenovo Announces New AI Server Green And Low Carbon Support For Full Stack Intelligence

    On August 18th, the 2023 China Computing Power Conference grandly opened in Yinchuan, Ningxia, with Lenovo bringing a full stack of "green content" computing power products, solutions, and services.   The current digital economy is surging forward, and computing power, as the 'underlying driving force', has a broad and profound impact on economic and social development. AI computing power has become an important development direction for computing infrastructure. However, the explosive demand for computing power has led to a sharp increase in computing energy consumption, and with the addition of the "dual carbon" goal, the country's PUE requirements for computing infrastructure have increased.    Lenovo, as a top server manufacturer, has also made a profound response to the current demand. Lenovo has launched two new "green strength" AI servers at this press conference, showcasing Lenovo's green product capabilities with surging computing power. The Lenovo WA7780 G3 AI large-scale training server adopts a triple independent air duct design in its product design, which can provide independent cooling for CPU nodes, GPU nodes, and switch nodes, efficiently and energy-efficient. At the same time, the server has reserved a liquid cooled board design that supports liquid cooled versions of HGX modules and CPU liquid cooling. When applied in data centers with lower PUE requirements, it avoids problems such as difficult liquid cooling adaptation and leakage caused by wind to liquid cooling, achieving rapid upgrades without affecting performance usage and reducing transformation costs.
