Nvidia Promotes Liquid Cooled GPUs, Targeting The Energy Efficiency Upgrade Needs Of Data Centers
The data center has shifted towards a green and low-carbon direction, with chip manufacturers and solution providers taking action. Recently, graphics chip company (GPU) NVIDIA announced during the Computex exhibition that it will launch a liquid cooled GPU to improve data efficiency. Nvidia's release of liquid cooled GPUs signifies that mainstream chip manufacturers are competing in new fields as they shift towards a low energy market in the data center.
Previously, Intel announced plans to build a laboratory to study the use of liquid cooling technology to cool high-energy consuming CPUs. In addition, giants such as Microsoft and Google have also conducted relevant research in the field of liquid cooling. For example, Microsoft has experimented with sinking data centers into the ocean to reduce energy and water consumption.
