Wiwynn 8kW AI Liquid Cooled Server

    Recently, Wiwynn demonstrated a liquid cooled server solution that can accommodate 8 OAM acceleration cards inside the server, which are cooled by coolant. With the continuous increase of chip TDP, liquid cooling can save the entire system about 10-20% of overall power consumption, making liquid cooling technology very attractive to server operators, especially those running large GPUs or AI accelerators. This is the company's solution for 1kW GPU and AI accelerator, which will not use immersion liquid cooling for some ultra large scale customers at least in the short term.

  The liquid distribution units inside the server are similar to the liquid distribution manifolds used at the rack level, except that they are located inside the chassis and have the same function and principle. As this is specifically designed for 1kW GPUs and AI accelerators, the cooling components of the internal liquid distribution unit consume much more electricity than the old typical 2208V 30A rack can provide.
