Controlled Atmosphere-Brazing technology

CAB Barzing , which means Controlled Atmosphere-Brazing Technology. CAB brazing is a new brazing technology widely used in the world in recent years. The main principle is to melt the oxide film on the metal surface with flux and protect the welding process with inert gas or nitrogen to avoid workpiece oxidation. Cab brazing is a dynamic brazing process. The workpiece is transported through the cab brazing furnace through the stainless steel mesh belt to complete the brazing process.

CAB brazing

The whole brazing process can be roughly divided into several processes: flux spraying, workpiece drying, heatig ,brazing, cooling and so on.

After the workpiece is degreased and cleaned and fixed with a fixture, spray the flux through the flux coating device, and then blow off the excess flux through the drying chamber. After drying in the drying furnace, it enters the brazing chamber and is heated to about 560 ° C. at this time, the flux begins to melt, melt the oxide film on the surface of the workpiece and wet the joint surface. When the workpiece is heated to about 577 ° C, the solder (composite layer) begins to melt, and the liquid solder flows freely into the welding joint surface through capillary action and fuses with the base metal; After the brazing process is completed, the workpiece enters the cooling zone for cooling and the weld solidifies.

CAB brazed process

CAB brazing process is complex and the cost of flux is high, but the brazing process is very efficient and suitable for large-scale production. At present, it is mainly used to produce heat exchange equipment with simple structure and low requirements for working pressure, such as heatsinks or intercoolers of automobiles and agricultural machinery.
