What is Thermal Grease
Many electrical appliances or electronics needthermal grease in the manufacturing process. Thermal grease is a interface material with thermal conductivity, which needs to be applied to the gap between CPU and radiator, so as to achieve thermal conductivity and prevent burning loss due to excessive local temperature of CPU. In this process, thermal grease has the effect of maximizing the increase of thermal conductivity. So, what is the heat dissipation principle of thermal grease?
What is thermal grease?
The main component of thermal grease is silicone oil and some fillers, and then made into gray or white paste like material. This material can also remain paste like after construction without solidification and adhesion. It also has the characteristics of resistance to high and low temperature changes, and can play a normal heat dissipation performance within - 50 degrees to 200 degrees.

How Does It works?
The main heat dissipation principle of the thermal grease is to apply the grease on the interface between the heat sink and the heat source, because the thermal conductive grease itself is a material with heat conduction and non-conductive properties. At this time, the temperature of the CPU can be controlled within a certain range without the phenomenon of local excessive temperature.

The Matter Points:
1. When applying the thermal grease, be careful do not pollute other components. Because the grease applied to the electrical parts outside the CPU does not have the heat dissipation performance, and it may even has opposite effects.
2. The grease painting needs to be uniform and flat, which is beneficial to the balance of CPU heat dissipation.
