MHI Launches A New Container Data Center With Hybrid Cooling

Not long ago, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) launched a new containerized data center product with a built-in hybrid cooling system. The solution is expected to be launched by the end of 2023. The data center module is a 40kVA grade 12 foot container with built-in immersion cooling and air cooling systems. When the data center operates at a temperature of 40 ° C, using immersion cooling alone can achieve a PUE of 1.05, while the hybrid method can achieve a PUE of 1.14.

MHI is currently providing trial solutions to customers and will begin empirical testing at the Yokohama Hard Technology Center in Japan. Dell Technologies Japan has provided servers for verification, and NEC Networks&System Integration Corporation will verify the installation and server maintenance processes.
