KKR Acquired CoolIT Systems, A Renowned Liquid Cooling Company
According to foreign media reports, global investment company KKR and liquid cooling solution provider CoolIT Systems (CoolIT) have signed a final agreement, under which KKR will acquire CoolIT for $270 million. In 2022, CoolIT reported a 50% increase in revenue and profits for its data center products and services, reaching a historic high. This $270 million transaction will help CoolIT expand its business scale to meet the growing demand for liquid cooling systems from data center operators.
With the booming development of artificial intelligence and other applications that require a lot of computing, more and more data centers are using innovative cooling technologies to solve the problem of rising energy consumption. CoolIT's patented liquid cooling technology can improve the reliability and lifespan of IT equipment, reduce operating costs, reduce energy demand and carbon emissions, reduce water consumption, and allow data center servers to achieve higher power density than traditional air cooling methods.
