How do photovoltaic power plants do a good job of heat dissipation in the hot summer?
What should we do about this?
Keep ventilated
Regardless of whether it is a component or an inverter, the distribution box must be ventilated to ensure air circulation. For the components of rooftop photovoltaic power stations, it is important not to unreasonably arrange the layout of photovoltaic power station components in order to increase the power generation capacity, which will block each other between components and at the same time affect heat dissipation and ventilation, resulting in low power generation.
So, if someone fools you into installing a few more components on a limited area, be careful. Reliable brands will provide the most reasonable design on the premise of maximizing power generation based on the roof conditions of your home before installation, instead of asking you to install a few more modules.
For owners of photovoltaic agricultural greenhouses, ventilation should be considered. Ventilation openings can be set in the blind area on the back of the greenhouse, so as not to affect the growth of crops, and to maximize the suitability of the operating environment of the photovoltaic power station.

Clean up debris in time
To avoid affecting the heat dissipation of the photovoltaic power station, it is necessary to ensure that the photovoltaic modules, inverters, and distribution boxes are open, and if there is accumulation of debris, clean them in time.
Take a parasol
Household inverters are generally IP65 protection grade, with a certain degree of wind, dust, and water resistance. However, when the inverter and distribution box work, they also need to dissipate heat. Therefore, install the inverter and the distribution box. It is best to install it in a place where it is shaded and sheltered from rain. If it must be installed in the open, then make a simple awning for the inverter and distribution box to prevent direct sunlight. Avoid excessively high temperature of the inverter and distribution box, which will affect the power generation.
What to do in severe weather?
1) Lightning strike If you want to protect against lightning, the most effective and widely used method is to connect the metal parts of electrical equipment to the earth. Electric welding or gas welding is used for the connection part, but soldering is not allowed! If welding is not possible on site, riveting or bolting can be used, and a contact surface of more than 10cm2 must be ensured, and the buried depth of the grounding body should preferably be more than 0.5~0.8m. Remember that the backfill must be compacted.
2) Heavy rain If your house has a sloping roof, don’t worry at all. If your house has a flat roof, it’s best to consider drainage issues when designing and installing the photovoltaic power station. Avoid that when the rainfall is too heavy, the installation of the brackets on the flat roof is relatively low, causing the photovoltaic modules to be soaked in rainwater.
During the inspection after rain, you must not directly touch the connection part of the inverter, photovoltaic module and power supply cable with your hands, but wear rubber gloves and rubber boots.
3) Hail Qualified photovoltaic power plant products purchased from large reliable manufacturers have all passed the hail impact test at a speed of 23m/s. Therefore, the hail will not affect the photovoltaic modules in general. However, after the hail, daily inspections are also indispensable. If there is a significant drop in power generation or other abnormal conditions in the photovoltaic power station after the hail, the owner must promptly notify the manufacturer’s after-sales personnel for inspection.
4) Regular inspection is essential
After the photovoltaic power station is built, the operation and maintenance should not be too sloppy. Especially in summer, it is best to conduct regular inspections to ensure that the photovoltaic power station has good heat dissipation and air circulation, and timely clean up weeds and shelters that affect heat dissipation. Only in this way can the power generation and operation of the photovoltaic power station be guaranteed.
