Hybrid immersion cooling system for data center

At present, the immersion cooling solutions applied in the data center usually include pumps, radiators, heat exchangers, condensers, sealed evaporation equipment, etc. They either consume a lot of energy or require sealed enclosures, which take up relatively large space, thus limiting the power density of the rack.

In contrast, the new hybrid immersion liquid cooling technology consists of a water cooling system directly to the chip and a natural single-phase immersion cooling system containing two dielectric fluids.

Specifically, an independent sealed immersion enclosure is added to the blade server in the existing cold plate water cooling system to build a hybrid immersion cooling system. The system pumps the cooling water to the cold plate installed on the GPU and CPU through the coil, while other components not cooled by the cold plate are immersed in the dielectric fluid for heat exchange. The immersed fluid basically replaces the air heat exchange of the fan, thereby improving the heat dissipation efficiency of the components not cooled by the cold plate.

In a hybrid immersion cooling system, the 1U sealed blade server can be inserted into a "library" vertical rack like a book. The rack is a regular size, which can vertically place 48 servers in three 16U modules. Each server is cooled in a separate water tank, allowing for large-scale deployment. In addition, each server is connected to a specific system that monitors all environmental factors to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the server.
