Thermal Interface Material is essential in heatsink applications

          Thermal conductive materials are the auxiliary materials of electronic products, which are used to solve the heat dissipation problem of electronic products, so as to improve the running speed, reliability, stability and service life of electronic products. They are an indispensable part of electronic thermal products.

Why do electronic heatsink products need to usethermal conductive materials?

   1. There are slight uneven gaps between the electronic material surface and the thermal heatsink . If they are directly installed together, the actual contact area between them is only 10% of the heatsink base area, and the rest are air gaps. Because the air thermal conductivity is only 0.024w / (m.k), the contact thermal resistance between electronic components and heatsink will be very large, which seriously hinders the heat conduction and leads to the low efficiency of radiator.

   2. Filling these gaps with thermal conductive materials with high thermal conductivity, removing the air, and establishing a heat conduction channel between the electronic components and the heatsink can greatly increase the contact area between the heat source and the heatsink and reduce the contact thermal resistance.
