Aluminum bonded fin heat sinks is to bond the aluminum fins to the base grooves, this type of heat sinks construction can make higher fin densities and fin aspect ratios than extruded heat sink type, so it can much increase the surface to improve the thermal performance.
There are several ways to build aluminum bonded fins heat sinks, the base with grooves can be extruded, CNC machined or die cast. if you want to embed some heat pipes, vapor chambers inside the back of the base, machining can achieve it. the fins are manufactured by stamping or cutting from thin aluminum plate, and then insert the fins to the base grooves and joint them by epoxying ,brazing or soldering.
