The Working principle of heat pipe

The working liquid vaporates when it is heated by heat source and the vapor would make the pressure level of envaporation area higher than condenser side, with the effect of pressure, the vapor would carry the heat flows to the other cold side and release the heat, in condenser side, the vapor turns into fluid and travels back to envaporation side by the capillary force and start another cycle.

Due to the highly effective heat transferring ability of liquid phase changing at envaporation and condenser side, the capacity of heat pipe in heat transferring is much higher than any other solid metal heat sink, that's why it's very popular in the high power cpu applications.
