Thermal cooling system for new energy charger

As the world energy shortage, environment pollution is serious, all countries in the world are eager to develop new energy and renewable clean energy source, China also put forward to increase investment in energy, energy saving as a core development target, support the development of renewable energy, new energy vehicles in such a market environment, ushered in the unprecedented development opportunity, China plans to fully electrify vehicles in the public sector by 2035. As a supporting industry for new energy vehicles, the construction of charging piles is imminent.

Currently, there are two kinds of charge model pile, dc fast charging can be filled with 1 to 2 hours, communication slow charge filled with 6 to 8 h, consumers want to charge the sooner the better, of course, but a fast charge, current and voltage increases, the temperature rise rapidly, and will generate large numbers of heat, if the heat is not timely discharged, the overheating situation will accelerate the aging of equipment, short circuit and signal disorder of electronic equipment will occur, and even the equipment will have the risk of spontaneous combustion.

The future development direction of charging pile is high-power charging, which needs to integrate high heat-generating electronic components such as transformers, capacitors, inductors and MOS tubes. The thermal solution of these components is an urgent problem to be solved.

There are four main cooling modes of charging pile, including air forced cooling, air conditioning, liquid cooling and natural cooling. In terms of cost saving and reliability improvement, most charging piles are cooled by air forced cooling.
