  Intel LGA 115X CPU cooler is designed for Intel CPU 115X series which is compatible with Intel LGA1700,1200,LGA1150,1151,1155,1156. There are two main LGA 115X CPU cooler types from Sinda Thermal: Heat pipe CPU cooler and copper skived fin CPU heat sink.

  Heat pipe CPU cooler type: this type of Intel LGA 115X CPU cooler is composed of aluminum zipper fins, heat pipes, aluminum base, thermal interface material, hardwares like screws and springs, and cooling fan.

Usually we planish the heat pipes and contact the CPU directly, and we will smear some thermal interface material on the heat pipes to fill the gap between the heat pipes and CPU to reduce the thermal resistance. When the CPU starts to work, the heat generated by CPU would be absorbed by the heat pipes and transferred away to the aluminum zipper fins, due to aluminum alloy is a great heat dissipation material, and the fins create huge surface area, when the heat was transferred to the aluminum fins, the heat can be dissipated to the air rapidly, then the cooling fan would blow out the hot air and cool down the device. As we know the thermal conductivity of heat pipe is many times better than single copper or aluminum metal, it can absorb and transfer the heat generated by the CPU very fast to cool down the application, for the high power and high heat flux density CPUs, heat pipe CPU cooler is a wonderful thermal option as it's great thermal performance.

Copper skived fin CPU heat sink: This type of heat sink is to peel the fins with designed fin thickness and pitch from a single copper bar by skiving machine. As skiving fin heat sink is manufactured by high precise skiving technology and the copper fins are peeled from the copper base, so there is no joint between the fins and base, which means there is no thermal resistance between them, what's more, we select the copper as the heat sink material, as copper is a extraordinary thermal conductor than aluminum and other metal, it can absorb the heat from the CPU and conduct to the fins very fast. Also compared with extrusion technology, skiving process has no limitation on fin thickness and height ratio, which means the skiving technology can create more number of fins and the fin thickness can be much thinner, so the copper skived fin heat sink has more surface area for heat dissipation. Due to the copper skived fin heat sink is manufactured from a solid copper metal, the thermal permance of this type of heat sink is more stable, and it has a much better reliability, and thermal performance to prolong ther CPU service life. Copper skived fin CPU heat sink is a classic heat sink type.
