  Intel LGA 4189 1U server CPU heat sink is designed for the Intel CPU 4189 series, this type of heat sink is compatible with Intel Ice Lake and Copper Lake platform. LGA 4189 1U server CPU heat sink consists of 1pcs aluminum zipper fin, 3 pcs heat pipes, 1 pcs aluminum base, and 1 pcs copper block to contact with the CPU. Usually we will smear some thermal grease to fill up the gap between the copper block and CPU to improve the thermal performance. The sepcifications of this type of heat sink as below:

CPU type: Intel LGA 4189 series;

As the Intel LGA 4189 1U server CPU heat sink is assembled by aluminum zipper fins, heat pipes, aluminum base, and copper pedestal, how are these components manufactured?

Aluminum zipper fin: aluminum zipper fin is produced by high speed stamping machine, we put the aluminum sheet into the fin tooling die to produce the designed shape and dimensions, then nickle plate the fins to make sure it can be soldered with heat pipes, aluminum base, and copper block.

Heat pipe: The three main components of the heat pipe are copper tube, copper mesh and work fluid. The manufacturing process of heat pipes usually includes the following process operations:

1. Cutting the copper tube --- 2. Cleaning --- 3, fill in the copper powder --- 4, welding --- 5. vacuum ----- 6. filling in the work fluid------6. sealing --- 7. testing.

Aluminum base: Firstly, the base will be extruded and cut off the get the thickness and width, then punch it to make the overall dimensions, afterward we will use CNC to achieve the features, for the surface finish, as we need to solder with the aluminum fin and heat pipe, the surface finish is nickel plating.

Copper block: this process is to punch off to make the overall dimensions and CNC if any further features needed, then do the copper wash to achieve the finished copper block.
