Liquid Cold Plate Heat Sink

Liquid cold plate heat sink is a creative thermal solution when the air cooling could not meet the thermal requirements and footprint requirements. Cold plate is a device to transfer the heat from the heat source to the liquid which flows to a remote heat exchanger and dissipate the heat into the environment or secondary cooling system.

There are several ways to produce a liquid cold plate, but the most common process is to machine some grooves in the aluminum base, then embed the copper tubes into and grooves and solder it with the base, afterward fill the coolant into the copper tube to transfer the heat. There are many methods to build a cold plate, the methods usually driven by the customer performance requirements, material requirements and environment requirements.
