Product Introduction
Intel LGA 4189 CPU heat pipe heat sink is designed for Intel Ice Lake and Copper Lake CPU platform which is applied in 1U server system. As the capacity of the server is increasing, the computing power of the CPU becomes stronger accordingly, which means more and more heat will be generated during the server working. If the heat could not be removed out in time, it will make the temperature of server working environment too high to affect the working efficeincy, even worse, it may burn out the CPU. So a thermal management for the server system is critical, Sinda Thermal designed the aluminum zipper fin with heat pipes to solve the thermal issues for the server CPUs.

Aluminum zipper fin
Aluminum zipper fins are manufactured by stamping process to connect the aluminum sheets progressively, the geometry of the fins are created by stamping, the length, height, and fin pitch are defined in the first set of stamping process, Then the punch process folds the fins and lock them in the place with previous fin, when the fin stack has enough length as designed, the tooling will remove it from stamping area to produce a finished zipper fin stack.
Heat Pipe
Heat pipe is one of the most efficient ways to disperse heat from the heat source, it's a two phase thermal device to transfer the heat from one side to another. Heat pipe is widely used in many industries. Heat pipe is composed of copper tube, working fluid, wick structure, and vacuum-tight containment tube, when the heat input vaporizes the working fluid to become vapor and absorb the heat, the vapor flows to the cold side, and the vapor will be condensed to be the liquid and release the heat, the working fluid will flow back to the vaporizing side by the wick structure, and remove the heat circularly.
Copper block
As we all know that copper is a excellent thermal conductor, which is much better than aluminum, in order to conduct the heat from the CPU, we often design a copper block to conduct the CPU which can transfer the heat from CPU rapidly.
