  LGA 1700 2U copper skived fin CPU cooler is designed for Intel server CPU, LGA 1700 socket, which is widely applied in 2U server system. this CPU cooler consists of copper skived fin heat sink and high speed cooling fan to offer maximum air forced cooling. Skived fin heat sink construction provides much better thermal performance than other single solid heat sinks, it can be an alternative to extruded heat sink when looking for a high aspect ratio, and thin fin density which could not the achieved by extruding. Skived fin heat sink is manufactured by slicing thin sheets from a solid metal bar and bending them vertically to be the fins, so the thickness of fin can be much thinner, and the fin pitch can be much denser than other manufacturing process which offers more surface area for heat dissipation, and copper is the best conductor of heat in commercial metal, so a copper skived fin heat sink is an excellent thermal solution with great thermal performance.

Copper skived fin heat sink Copper skived fin heat sink provides great thermal performance compared with other metal and other manufacturing process heat sinks as it can be achieved thinner fins, denser fin pitch and high aspect ratio which means skived fin heat sink can offer much more heat dissipation area than other manufacturing methods. Secondly due to copper is the best conductor of heat in commercial metal, so copper skived fin heat sink has excellent heat conduction which means it can remove the heat from CPU rapidly. So a copper skived fin heat sink can offer excellent thermal performance than other single solid metal heat sinks. The heat sink fins are sliced from a solid copper bar, so the NRE is very low, it is very flexbile to build the prototypes for test, and lead time can be short. Also this manufacturing process offers low thermal resistance between fins and base to ensure the heat can be transported to fins quickly.

Cooling fan Cooling fan is critical for a CPU cooler as it offers strong forced air to dissipate the heat, the more air volume blows, the faster the heat would be dissipated, but if the large air volume also brings big noise, so it's a challenge to banlance the air flow volume and noise. This CPU cooler fan utilizes two ball structure which can provides much better reliability and stability. And it is designed based on accurate calculation, so the noise and air volume are balanced well, it can offer 32.49CFM (MAX) air volume to meet the thermal requirements and the noise is 32.49CFM (MAX) which is acceptable. Cooling fan is an important partner for the heat sinks, this combination can transport the heat from CPU and dissipate it to the air rapidly.
